When using vulcanized rubber (i.e., rubber that has undergone vulcanization), the following precautions should be taken to ensure stable performance, extended lifespan, and avoid safety hazards:
Avoid High-Temperature Aging: Prolonged exposure to high temperatures (e.g., exceeding 100℃) will accelerate thermo-oxidative aging of vulcanized rubber, leading to decreased elasticity, hardening, or cracking. Different rubber types have different heat resistance.
Surface Treatment: The substrate to be bonded must be sandblasted or chemically treated to achieve a cleanliness level of Sa2.5 according to ISO 8503-2.
Coating Process: Two-component products must be precisely mixed according to the specified ratio and used within 30 minutes after mixing. Single-component products must be vulcanized within 8 hours.
Vulcanization Conditions: Pressure vulcanization requires maintaining a pressure of 0.5-2 MPa. Room temperature vulcanization requires the use of an accelerator. Infrared vulcanization can shorten the time to 5 minutes.
Safety Protection: Wear a respirator and protective gloves during operation. The workplace ventilation rate must reach 15 m³/h per person.
