Carbon fiber treatment agents are chemical preparations specifically designed for the surface treatment of carbon fiber materials, aiming to improve the adhesion, corrosion resistance, and appearance quality of carbon fibers.

 

Carbon fibers, due to their high strength, lightweight, and excellent mechanical properties, are widely used in aerospace, automotive manufacturing, sporting goods, and other fields. However, the smooth surface and strong chemical inertness of carbon fibers result in poor direct bonding or coating effects, thus requiring surface modification through treatment agents.

 

1. Clean the surface, removing grease and impurities;

2. Activate the surface, increasing surface energy;

3. Provide chemical bonding sites, enhancing adhesion to resins or coatings. Common types of treatment agents include coupling agents, oxidants, and coating primers. Coupling agents, such as silanes, can form chemical bridges between carbon fibers and resins; oxidants, such as nitric acid or ammonium persulfate, introduce active groups such as carboxyl groups onto the fiber surface through oxidation reactions; coating primers directly form a transition layer, improving adhesion performance.
